VOLUNTEERING

VISITOR CENTRE

The Explore Abernethy visitor centre is looking for people who can spare a couple of hours per month during the summer, to keep the centre open while the ranger gives guided walks. No experience needed but an interest in local history and cutural heritage will help.

BUTTERFLIES

We hope to start a Butterfly transect in Nethy Bridge this Spring, but volunteers are essential to the running of this project.

If you think you can help in any way, drop into the Nethy Bridge Community Centre and speak to the ranger.

JOHN MUIR AWARD

Discover and Explore Abernethy forest, while helping to conserve the local wildlife. Several local people and volunteers worked towards their John Muir Discovery Award with Explore Abernethy this year.

If you would like to get involved or find out more ask the ranger for more information.

JOB VACANCIES

Unfortunately, Explore Abernethy only has one employee, the seasonal ranger, and so there are no current vacancies. This post is generally advertised at the start of each year in the Countryside Jobs Service.
