Archaeology Survey at Rychallich, Tulloch
With Archaeologist Tam Barton &
Melanie Clouston , Explore Abernethy Ranger
Date
- Sat 15th - Mon 17th Oct
Rychallich is an abandoned croft at Tulloch near Nethy Bridge which was
inhabited until the 1950s and was home to locally famous characters,
energetic ceilidhs and was even connected with a murder in 1772.
The project will focus on detailed recording of the surviving
remains as well as walking the surrounding landscape to look for
further overgrown structures.
Those taking part must be ok with cross country walking and will need
wellies and waterproofs (particularly for the last day). It will
also be necessary to take part in a 20 minute walk to the site each
day.
